Homosexuality is an Abomination and so is Abortion

Ever since the 9/11 attacks, the phrase "God Bless America" has been cropping up everywhere! You see it emblazoned on buildings, signs all over, even on return address labels! It is amazing, isn't it, that after years that we have shut God and the Bible from our schools, and ordered the taking down in public places of the Ten Commandments, suddenly God is OKAY! It's suddenly all right to have public prayer! And all because of a terrorist attack upon our country that killed thousands and destroyed the pride of New York City, the twin towers. An enemy has successfully penetrated our country, which had smugly considered itself safe from all of that.

But don't you wonder a little about this "God bless America" stuff? Of course we want God to bless America - but how are we treating Him? After working diligently to rid our shores of God, now do we turn and plead for His help? Doesn't it sound a little sanctimonious?

Maybe we need to take a good hard look at the way things actually are. The homosexual agenda is making great strides in California, and the children are being taught that an "alternative life style" is perfectly okay, and are even being taught how to do it! This is happening even as we write. However, the Bible does not mince words about homosexuality; it is wrong, it is an abomination before God. And how many millions of babies have now been aborted, and are continuing to be aborted? God will require their blood from this land. Should we mention witchcraft, and the recognition by the U.S. Army that Wicca is a viable religion? And don't forget the probability of thousands or more children being captivated by a dubious hero called Harry Potter, who practices witchcraft!

In the book of Leviticus chapter 18 there is a long list of "thou shalt nots" mentioned; if these things continue, says the Word, and the land continue to be defiled, the land itself will vomit out her inhabitants. (Lev. 18:25).

God doesn't change; what was an abomination to Him centuries ago is still an abomination to Him today. We may want to look the other way and pretend these and other things are not happening in our America, but God sees everything, nothing escapes Him. And He is, besides being loving and merciful (which He has been to the United States) a righteous Judge.

"Rend your heart and not your garments, return to the Lord your God for he is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love and relents from sending calamity…" (Joel 2:13)
