Need a Peace Transfusion
by Danita Harris

What do I do now? Where am I going in life? Who am I? Why is this happening to me? These are all questions that have popped into our minds when we are confused and uncertain about our lives. Maybe these are questions you are asking yourself right now. They are bombarding your everyday thoughts. They've caused your emotions to go up and down and up and down. You're in turmoil and you just want to SCREAM!!! Well, go ahead and get one good scream in and then turn your focus off of your situation and on to God. You see, you're in a state of confusion and you need a peace transfusion. Who's the donor? GOD!

Confusion is defined as disorder, mixed up, and being unclear. Peace on the other hand is a state of calm and quiet; freedom from disturbing thoughts and emotions. The Lord wants peace to dwell within us. When we operate in a state of confusion, nothing good happens. That's because God is not the author of confusion. But we have a tendency to allow circumstances to disturb our peace and put us on "Confusion Circle."John 16:33 says "I have said this to you, that in me you may have PEACE. In the world you have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world." Just let that scripture marinate in your spirit for a moment...are you getting it?

When confusion starts doing a "two-step" on your mind, you must immediately turn to the word of God. Just like when our physical bodies lose a lot of blood, we become weak. Doctors know that in order for us to feel better (stronger), a blood transfusion is needed. If we continue to lose blood we will die. If you continue to ignore the word of God during your state of confusion, your spirit will die. So hook up to the word and there you will find peace. Romans 8:6 says, "To set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and PEACE." Ah, are you feeling your energy coming. Let's pump some more into ya! Phillipians 4:7 "and the PEACE of God, which passes all understanding, will keep your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Oh my goodness, I just saw you step out of the "Confusion Circle" but let's keep going. Romans 15:13 "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and PEACE in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope." What is this? You're turning the corner onto "Peace Place". Come on Holy Spirit! Romans 5:1 "Therefore, since we are justified by faith, we have PEACE with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." Bye-bye confusion and hello peace! 1Peter3:11 "Let him turn away from evil and do right; let him seek PEACE and pursue it." Doesn't peace feel good!

Don't walk around in confusion, rest in God's peace. Get off of that emotional roller coaster and rest in God's peace. Aren't you dizzy from being on "Confusion Circle?"?rest in God's peace. Your confusion needs a PEACE transfusion. The donor? GOD. "Now may the Lord of PEACE himself give you PEACE at all times in all ways. The Lord be with you all." 2 Thessalonians 3:16
