LET "ME" IN

You think you can do this "life" thing all by yourself
You think you can handle it, you don't need anyone else
You think because you're a "good" person after death you'll be in heaven
Think again...and let ME in
Who touches you each morning allowing you to see a new day
Who sent his son to die in order that you could be shown "the way"
Who deposited in you a gift so that you could share it and bless the world
If you think it is you
Think again...and let ME in
I see you when you try to analyze and figure out the craziness in your life
You always come up empty, no answers, no solutions...there's a void
You then try to fill it with alcohol, sex, drugs and false teachings
You think "they" make you feel good
If you believe "that" is true
Think again...and let ME in
Aren't you tired of running and not going anywhere
Your fake smile is getting old because I know there's no joy in your soul
Pretend, pretend, pretend
When will you stop playing the game
Your life can change
Open up...and let ME in
You see I am the one who created you
The one who knows you through and through
I am the one who loves you even now as you turn away
Turn around...let ME in
I want you to know real peace
I want to put your mind at ease
I want you to have eternal life
I want you to get to know ME
Stop fighting it...let ME in
I will be the center of your joy
I will guide you along life's path
and order your steps
You will know and believe that there is a purpose and plan for your life
Oh, don't you want to...let ME in
Take one step towards ME and I'll take two towards you
My arms are open wide and my spirit of love wants to embrace you
I don't care about what you've done
I'm not looking for perfection
I want you
Right now
Just the way you are
I am God your father and I want you to meet Jesus my son
He is the "way"
He is the only way to get to ME
He's waiting for you
He cares for you
He loves you
And if you believe "this" is true
Stop thinking...and let ME in
