The Truth Will Set You Free!
These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so.
(Acts 17:11)

Dear God!
Help God! I Don't Want To Fail.
by Gail Ramsey
Dear
God,
You’ve
given me such an overwhelming vision! I want desperately to bring it to pass,
but I’m afraid that I won’t be able to. I am surely the “weakest link”
in the group, and I don’t want to fail you. Help!
Your Fearful Daughter
Dear
Daughter,
“God
has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound
mind.” (2 Timothy 1:7)
If
you have a vision in your heart, and it seems impossible, then it’s probably a
“God idea”. God will never give you a vision that you will be able to
accomplish without His miraculous power. Why? Because His Word says that He
shares His glory with no man.
When
Jesus called to the apostles as He was walking on the water, Peter was the only
one to get out of the boat. There was a good chance that he would get his robe
wet, which he did, but there was also a chance that he would walk on water with
Jesus…which he did. The other disciples remained in the boat because they were
afraid they might sink. They didn’t sink, but they also didn’t walk on water
like Peter did.
Fear
of failure will keep you in the boat! It will stop you from trusting God, from
moving in the miraculous, and walking in your divine destiny.
There
will always be things that don’t work the way we hope they will; but, if we
trust in God and commit our ways to Him, then His Word promises that He will
direct our steps and bring it to pass. We can always cry out to Jesus like Peter
did, if we begin to sink; and He has promised us that He will never leave us or
forsake us! What an awesome guarantee of victory!
As
for feeling that you are the “weakest link”, I encourage you to read about
Gideon in Judges 6:11-24. God had placed a great call on Gideon’s life, to
save
from the Midianites, but Gideon was
sure that there must have been some mistake. When the angel of the Lord appeared
to him and said “The Lord is with you,
you mighty man of valor”, Gideon said to him “O my Lord, how can I save
Israel
?
Indeed my clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father’s
house.” The Lord spoke
back to him saying “Surely I will be with you, and you shall defeat the
Midianties…”
God
sees us the way He created us…as winners! He has given us power over all the
power of the enemy, and “surrounded us with favor” (Psalm 5) He’s not looking for you
to bring it to pass. He’s looking for you to trust in Him and let Him bring it
to pass!
