Sandra Withrow's love for God is expressed not only in her lifestyle but also through her melodious gift in song. For years Sandra's unique rich voice has excited and drawn many listeners into heartfelt worship and praise. And now under the direction of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who is the object of her worship, she has released her debut praise and worship album entitled "Dwelling Place".

Singing since the age of 10, Sandra never tires of ministering to others in worship to God. She uses her gift in song to minister to those who are hurting, in need of healing and a Word from God. And just as the psalmist King David wrote and sang unto the Lord, Sandra also writes and sings songs that are based on life experiences and God's word.

In her teens Sandra sang in the senior choir at First Baptist Church, Berea, Ohio. Then later, in the 1970's one of the first groups that Sandra sang with was called the Shining Stars, a small gospel group that sang at churches, nursing homes and prisons. She has also had the privilege of singing with the Prayer Warriors, produced by Herb Thomas of H-Factor productions, Cleveland, Ohio, and numerous songfest and public assemblies. People often ask Sandra to sing at weddings, funerals and secular settings like family reunions and social events. Never wanting to miss an opportunity to witness through song, she receives each invitation with joy. In 1996 Sandra sang on the national praise team at the Full Gospel Baptist Fellowship convention, hosted by Bishop Paul Morton in New Orleans LA. The team was directed by Minister Byron Cage, the former praise team leader of New Birth (Pastor Eddie Long) in Atlanta GA. In 1999 Sandra was honored to be one of two praise and worship leaders to lead in worship just before Calvin Hunt, formerly of the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir, ministered in song at Mt. Sinai (Pastor C.J. Matthews) in Cleveland, Ohio. And in 2002 Sandra sang for one of the afternoon sessions at World Harvest Church, hosted by Pastor Rod Parsley in Columbus, Ohio.

At present Sandra is doing what she enjoys most, leading the congregation in praise as one of the praise team leaders at Church on The North Coast, Lorain, Ohio (Pastors Louis and Tina Kayatin). To put it in Sandra's words, "There is nothing like singing praises unto God, it's like singing a new love song to Him everyday, just like Psalms 40:3 says "He put a New Song in my mouth". Ministering through song has a special way of showing and illuminating Gods love for His people. And Sandra can attest that this same love has helped her in her own personal struggles. One her favorite scriptures reads, "Because your love is better than life my lips will glorify you," Psalms 63:3.

A native of Berea Ohio, Sandra is blessed with a lovely daughter Sucada, a wonderful son-in-law Quinton and grandson, Sabien. Her parents not only raised her and five other children in the love of Christ but they also, being musically inclined sing praises to God. "Pop", Joddie Lott, now deceased sang with several Gospel groups and recorded his first 45 LP in the late 50's. And "Ma Edna" still sings praises to God in the senior choir at First Baptist Church in Berea Ohio.

Working on this project has been especially exciting because it features two local writers, Pastor Lee Anderson pastor of Riverside Church. And Pastor Ramona McCloud, co-pastor of The Heart Of Fire Fellowship Church both located in Cleveland.

"Dwelling Place" is more than an album title. It speaks volumes about Sandra's adoration towards God as she enters into that special Dwelling Place to lift up the name of Jesus.
