The Truth Will Set You Free!

These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so.
(Acts 17:11)

What does the Bible say about Marrying & Marriage?
NKJV, NIV
What does the Bible say about Marrying?

These NIV Bible Verses Have The True Answer!

Leviticus 22:2treat with respect the sacred offerings the Israelites consecrate to me, so they will not profane my holy name. I am the LORD.

The Wicked Have No Right to Marry

Psalms 50:16-17 ...to the wicked, God says: "What right have you to recite my laws or take my covenant on your lips? You hate my instruction and cast my words behind you.

Priests…

Leviticus 10:9-10 ...This is a lasting ordinance for the generations to come. You must distinguish between the holy and the common, between the unclean and the clean…

So…

1Timothy 5:22 Do not be hasty in the laying on of hands, and do not share in the sins of others. Keep yourself pure.

Hebrews 13:4 Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral.

1 Corinthians 7:2 …since there is so much immorality, each man should have his own wife, and each woman her own husband.

Mark 10:7-8 'For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.' So they are no longer two, but one.

Malachi 2:15 ...And why one? Because he was seeking godly offspring.

Jesus Warns Those who Fear Him…

Matthew 5:32 ...anyone who marries the divorced woman commits adultery. (Meaning one who has been Biblically put away for adultery or an unbeliever who was divorced for departing from their marriage)

2Corinthians 6:14-18 Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? What harmony is there between Christ and Belial? What does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: "I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people." "Therefore come out from them  and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you." "I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty."

Nehemiah 13:27 Must we hear now that you too are doing all this terrible wickedness and are being unfaithful to our God by marrying foreign women?"

Jesus…

Ezra 9:14 Shall we again break your commands and intermarry with the peoples who commit such detestable practices? Would you not be angry enough with us to destroy us, leaving us no remnant or survivor?

If Jesus Doesn’t Want His Followers to Marry an Unbeliever,
Then Why Would He Want an Unbeliever to Marry an Unbeliever?

But you…

Ezekiel 22:26 …priests do violence to my law and profane my holy things; they do not distinguish between the holy and the common; they teach that there is no difference between the unclean and the clean...

Ezekiel 11:12 …you have not followed my decrees or kept my laws but have conformed to the standards of the nations around you.

Psalms 50:18 When you see a thief, you join with him; you throw in your lot with adulterers.

Romans 2:23 You who brag about the law, do you dishonor God by breaking the law?

Romans 1:32 Although they know God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.

Isaiah 5:23 …who acquit the guilty for a bribe, but deny justice to the innocent.

Those who are...

Proverbs 17:15 Acquitting the guilty and condemning the innocent— the LORD detests them both.

Proverbs 17:13 If a man pays back evil for good, evil will never leave his house.

Isaiah 5:20 Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.

The Covenant of Marriage is Sacred...

1 Timothy 4:3 ...which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and who know the truth.

Man of God, would you consent to marrying a homosexual couple? Would you agree to marrying an un-repentant fornicating couple? Is sin not sin and unclean not unclean? Is not marriage a holy covenant established by Jesus for His followers? Then why would you validate those who are unclean / unholy, and uncommitted to God's covenants?

Let's Stop Justifying Wickedness!
