searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so.
(Acts 17:11)

KATHY CLARK

Ohio's singer/songwriter Kathy Clark has received national honors for songwriting from the Country Gospel Music Association (CGMA). This is the second year she has won the award after having won three regional titles as well.

The CGMA held its national awards show in Augusta, Georgia, which was broadcast on WBPI television and viewed by over 300,000. Kathy was also one of the artists chosen to perform on the program as well.

"I am honored to have received this award but it means more than just another trophy sitting on my piano. I look at this as another sign along the road that I am headed in the right direction," says Kathy. "It's good to have the assurance that I am doing what God wants me to do."

Kathy has been singing across the country and into Canada for the past 12 years and her songs can be heard nationally. Her song "Beyond All That" reached #1 on the Country Gospel charts. Southern Gospel music's Quinton Mills recorded Kathy's song. "Crutches on the Altar" which stayed on the Singing News charts for 9 months straight in 2000. Christian singing artists throughout the US are recording Country Gospel, Southern Gospel, Contemporary, Inspirational and Bluegrass songs written by Kathy, many of whom are receiving airplay nationally.

Kathy is the author of the book "When Music Meets Ministry - the guide to Christian songwriting" and the director of Christian Songwriter's Seminars (CSS). CSS teaches 2-3 hour sessions for conventions and full day seminars in major cities and is coming to this area very soon. See ad on page 13.
