Dear God!

Is My Life Doomed To Confusion and Loneliness?

by Gail Ramsey

Dear God!

I read an article in the Newark Advocate concerning "Dear God!", It touched me somehow and I felt the need to write for some reason

I just got out of state prison, and I'm in jail sickens me and makes me feel like this is my destiny...

I am 31 years old and have a two-year-old little boy. I also have an excellent job with understanding employers...but I have no life!!!

I struggle and struggle for life's reward and my intentions are truly good; but I ALWAYS get kicked in the mouth just when I'm doing my best

I was tricked out of the Fold and I'm now oooo-so far away. I want to come home but I'm lost...I pray and pray, but I just feel like I've worn out my welcome in the Fold and I'm not wanted anymore.

My question is: Dear God! Is my life doomed to this confusion, loneliness and quiet desperation?

The madness has got to end, I can't handle it...

Dear KL,
You are not doomed to anything except that which you accept.

I encourage you to accept God's Word.

Jesus said, All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out." (John 6:37)

God hasn't given up on you KL, and He never will.

Man, on the other hand, sometimes becomes impatient and critical of those who aren't "strong sheep". Out of frustration and an inability to deal with a person under demonic attack, man often finds it easier to reject that one and cast him out as a "hopeless case".

But Jesus, our Good Shepherd, will always leave the ninety-nine and go after that one lost sheep which has gone astray.

God loves you. He will never leave you or forsake you. He's waiting for you to repent and come back to Him. The word repent doesn't mean to say "I'm sorry"; it means to "turn away from".

God's Word promises that if we are faithful to repent, He is faithful to forgive our sins and cleanse us of all unrighteousness.

There is a wonderful story in the Bible about a prodigal son who strayed away from home (the Fold) and really messed up his life. (Luke 15:11-32) Read it, KL, I believe that your story can have the same ending.

Thank you for writing.
