Dear God! Trouble with Relationships by Gail Ramsey Dear God! Why do I have so much trouble with relationships? Now that I'm a Christian, I would think that my relationships would get better, not worse! Help! Dear Daniel, "I did not come to bring peace but a sword. For I have come to set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. And a man's foes will be those of his own household" We do not automatically have the right relationship to everything in life just because we have come into a right relationship with God by receiving Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. We will continually be challenged in our relationships in the world, and this is where the test of real godliness comes. Real godliness is having a God-like relationship to all things. This does not come from following laws or traditions, it comes from the heart. God is love. We must allow our right relationship with God to overflow to everything in life; then it will be a God relationship. Sometimes, Daniel, to go on with God will mean leaving certain relationships behind. Ask God to bring new, healthy relationships into your life; and to give you the wisdom to know which ones to let go. Dear God!What is the anointing? I'm a new Christian and can't seem to get a straight answer from anyone regarding this! Dear Kim, The anointing is not some mystical something out there. The anointing is the power of God manifested.You could say that the anointing is the manifested presence of God. When the anointing is present, something is going to happen. In Luke 5:17,we see that the power of God was present to heal all the people who came to Jesus. The anointing is tangible, it can be felt. Many churches deny the power of God it's rightful place. As a result, their young people are turning to drugs, free sex, alcohol, and rock music. Others seek the supernatural through the psychic hotline or the New Age Movement. We were created with a hunger in our hearts for the power of God! Unfortunately, the Church is not fulfilling that need. Churches send alcoholics and drug addicts to rehabilitation places instead of setting them free by the power of the Holy Ghost. The anointing is real. It destroys EVERY yoke!
