Dear God!

My wife is driving me crazy! She keeps nagging me about the "words" I say. If God is really in control of everything, then what difference does it make what I say or don’t say!?

Dear Henry,

You may wish you hadn’t written this letter, because I have to agree with your wife.

God’s Word says that "death and life are in the power of the tongue" (Proverbs 18:21)

God took words and made the moon, the stars, the planets, the whole earth. God said "let there be light", and light was…but not until he SAID it.

Words affect your entire life! That’s why what you SAY determines the victories you win. Are you speaking life or death to your situation?

When I first arrived in Hollywood, it seemed as though people were lining up to tell me about "the odds" against me "making it" in show business. They laughed and mocked at my naivete, and suggested I go back home, get a "normal" job, and live happily-ever-after.

I quickly realized that if I allowed myself to hear these words, my life-long dreams would be destroyed.

So, instead of listening to their negativity, I found some new friends who supported my vision or at least said they did. We encouraged one another to "go for the gold!". We set our faces like flints, and refused to be refused! We SPOKE WORDS of success as we envisioned our victory.

Not much time passed before ABC was offering me a contract to play a new leading role on their daytime soap opera GENERAL HOSPITAL. After five years with ABC, I went on to do three more shows with NBC: GENERATIONS, MIKE HAMMER, and CALIFORNIA DREAMS.

YES, YOU CAN make your dreams come true! Find the promise of God and write them down. Speak them aloud in the midst of your circumstances. Get the angels moving on your behalf!

Angelic forces are given instruction by your words. Your words are their commands. Your words determine their authority. There is a war going on in the heavenlies! Don’t let the devil win.

Let’s Pray: Lord, help us to speak your word in every situation. Help us to refuse words of doubt and unbelief, and listen to YOUR voice instead.
