Christian Radio

With a radio swap more confusing than the presidential election, it appears that a contemporary Christian radio station may be back on the Cleveland airwaves in 2001. This is certainly good news for the thousands of WZLE fans who were devastated when the station's Christian format was changed more than a year and a half ago.

Under an asset agreement with Radio Seaway, Inc. and Clear Channel Communications, Salem Communications will acquire the transmitting facility of WCLV-FM (95.5) from Radio Seaway in exchange for giving it WHK-AM (1420). Salem's WHK-FM (98.1) will go to Clear Channel Communications, which will hand over WAKS-FM (104.9) in Lorain to Radio Seaway.
