Dear
God!

By Gail Ramsey
How can I know your perfect will for my life? How
can I be sure that you are guiding me? Sometimes I just feel lost.
Your son, Denzel
Dear Denzel,
You are not lost, and you are not alone. Many
today are crying out for guidance, wondering if they are on the "right
track."
God promises us that "The steps of a good man
are ordered by the Lord." (Psalms 37:23)
He also says in Proverbs 20:24, that although
"A man's steps are of the Lord; how then can a man understand his own way?"
In other words, God is saying to us, "Don't try to analyze what I'm doing.
Just trust me, and know that I've got everything under control."
Job tells his friends, in chapter 12 to "ask
the birds of the air, they will tell you;...and the fish of the sea will
explain to you."
I'm always in awe when I think about the eel
who leaves Germany via the Rhine River, and travels 3,000 miles through
the Atlantic Ocean. When she arrives just off the coast of Cuba she deposits
her eggs, and then returns to her native waters in Germany.
The young eels grow up in these Cuban waters.
Once they are grown, they return to their mother, 3,000 miles away. Divine
Guidance!
Then there is the Arctic Bird, which migrates
22,000 miles each year, from the Arctic to the Antarctic. It flies by astronomy...more
evidence of Divine Guidance.
Surely, if God leads the birds and the fish,
He also leads us, whom He has made in His own image!
God is guiding you, Denzel.
As we begin to be faithful in those things He
has already placed in our lives, God will give us bigger situations to
deal with. Too often we want to reign as kings before we've proven ourselves
as servants.
If we're not faithful in cutting the grass or
keeping our house clean, we won't be faithful in ruling and reigning.
If we won't follow instructions on a test in
school, we won't line up our life with the Word of God.
If we say "My God supplies all my needs," but
we don't pay our bills, what kind of an example are we to the world?
One thing is certain, God is perfecting all things
that concern us; and He is guiding our every step. All we need to do is
trust Him, be obedient, and walk in victory.
Divine guidance is our heritage!
