'UNITY' THROUGH DIVERSITY
By Jon Hanna

Their music is heard in over 200 countries around the world (via radio) and recently, I've been blessed to have met this anointed group of singers whose main purpose is to bring the Love of Jesus to a hurting world.  The name of the group is Unity and they are Susie Baird, Darrell Doerschuk and his wife Kathy Lee.

This uniquely dynamic group of musicians from Greentown Ohio, blends many styles of music (country, rap, rock and gospel) along with comedy, to share the Word of God.

Their name Unity doesn't come from uniting many styles of music into a concert of fun in the Son, but rather from each member's different church affiliations which includes Church of God, Lutheran and Church of the Brethren.  For the past nine years they have ministered in a variety of denominational and non-denominational settings from Canada to Florida.

The best part of this great mix of music and ministry is the Holy Spirit.  It's obvious to me that they are definitely annointed as they minister by the Spirit in Love.

This year, The Ohio Christian Music Association has proclaimed Unity, 'Group of The Year'.  They are humbled by this honor and declare that "without Jesus' Life, Death and Resurrection there would be no need for this ministry."

When I talked with them on my radio program, they placed a heavy emphasis on prison ministry.  Unity will do 18 of them next 46 scheduled events in Correctional Facilities throughout America.

To find out how you can help Unity obey Mark 16:15 and continue visiting those in jails, prisons and juvenile institutions, or to have Unity visit your church, please call them at 330-494-0489.
