Dear God! How Can I Know The Voice of God?

Dear God! My brother Dan was raised in a strong and loving Christian home, but has been hanging out with a very questionable and ungodly group of guys.
Dan insists that because he has always been a Christian, he has nothing to worry about in the "God department".
I am very concerned about him. Not only has he stopped going to church with us, but I think he has even become a part of this group - the skinheads.
What can I do? I have run out of words to say to him.

Dear Sarah,
Pray! "the effective fervent prayer of a righteous man (or woman) avails much." (James 5:16).
The danger of spending too much time on the devil's turf, is that eventually our ministry will dry up, and our mortality will be affected for the worse. We will become like that which surrounds us.

Sarah, there is nothing too hard for God. God loves your brother even more than you do! Continue to pray that He would draw Dan back into the fold. Ask God to do whatever it takes to save his soul. He is Faithful!

Every time you finish praying for Dan, praise God for the work He is doing in Dan's life. (Even if you donÕt see any change) Faith calls those things which are not as if they were already!

Sarah, trust God. Believe Him for a miracle, then EXPECT it. Expectancy is the breeding ground of miracles.

Sometimes I get confused by the things I hear in my mind.
How can I know if itÕs God, the devil, or me speaking?

Dear Jason,
"God is not the author of confusion"
(1 Cor. 14:33).

When in doubt, don't. There will often be a struggle in your mind as to which voice is speaking. The devil wants you to listen to him and will try to confuse you.

Pray, Jason, for the gift of discerning of spirits. (1 Cor. 13) This gift will enable you to distinguish the voice of God from the voice of the devil and the voice of your own mind.
Sometimes things will look right and sound right, but they won't FEEL right. When that happens, obey that check in your spirit and take the issue to God.
